CBDBrands.Shop is an independent CBD research and directory site. We verify brands, check certificates of analysis, and only feature smokeless CBD products that meet our standards. We don't sell anything directly — we just do the research and send you to the best brands.

Our story

Why we built this

The CBD market is full of brands making extraordinary claims. Most publish COAs that are outdated, from unaccredited labs, or simply don't match what's on the label. Most review sites either copy manufacturer claims, accept payment for placement, or never actually read the documents they're citing.

We built CBDBrands.Shop because first-time CBD buyers deserve honest information. Not marketing copy. Not paid placements. Actual research — COA checked, label claims verified, community sentiment reviewed, sourcing questioned.

We also made a deliberate choice that no other CBD directory makes: smokeless products only. Edibles, tinctures, capsules, and topicals. No vapes, no flower, no concentrates. This isn't a filter we apply — it's the entire foundation of what this site is. Because a significant portion of people exploring CBD for wellness, sleep, or relief have no interest in smoking anything, and they deserve a dedicated resource.

We participate in affiliate programs, which means we earn a commission when you click through to a brand and make a purchase. We are transparent about this — it's disclosed on every page. What it does not mean is that brands can pay for better placement, higher scores, or favorable coverage. Our scores are based entirely on our research criteria, not commercial relationships.

A brand with a 9.4 score earned it. A brand with a 6.2 score earned that too — and we keep both visible because knowing what to avoid is just as valuable as knowing what to buy.

Our process

How we verify every brand

Every brand on this site has gone through the same evaluation process. No exceptions. No shortcuts.

COA Download and Verification

We download the actual Certificate of Analysis from each product page — not a screenshot, not a link to a general lab page. We check the lab is ISO 17025 accredited, the test date is within 12 months, CBD content matches the label claim within an acceptable margin, and the report covers pesticides, heavy metals, and residual solvents.

A brand that does not publish COAs directly on product pages fails immediately and does not appear on this site. This is non-negotiable.

Label Accuracy Check

We compare what the product label claims against what the COA actually shows. CBD concentration per serving, THC levels, and extract type must all match. Brands that overstate potency or misrepresent extract type are disqualified.

Price per milligram of CBD is calculated for every product so you can make apples-to-apples comparisons across brands.

Sourcing Transparency Review

We investigate whether the brand discloses hemp sourcing, farming practices, and extraction methods. US-grown hemp is noted. Organic certifications are verified where claimed. Brands that make sourcing claims they cannot substantiate are penalized in scoring.

Community Sentiment Analysis

We review Reddit (r/CBD), Trustpilot, and BBB for patterns in customer experience. We look for volume and consistency — not individual reviews. We check how brands respond to complaints. A brand with 200 five-star reviews and 50 ignored one-star complaints tells a different story than one with 250 balanced reviews and active support.

Smokeless Product Confirmation

We confirm that the products being featured are edibles, tinctures, capsules, or topicals only. Even if a brand passes all other criteria, we do not feature their vape or smokable products. If a brand's primary business is smokable products with a secondary wellness line, we assess whether that secondary line meets our standards independently.

Our scoring system

The CBD Verified Score

Every brand receives a score out of 10 across five equally weighted criteria. The final score is the average. Scores are updated when new COAs are published or when community sentiment changes significantly.

Editorial independence

Our relationship with brands

CBDBrands.Shop participates in affiliate programs through the Katalys network. This means that when you click a link to a brand on this site and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. This commercial relationship does not influence our editorial decisions.

Brands cannot pay to be featured. Brands cannot pay for higher scores. Brands cannot pay to have negative findings removed. Our verification process is applied identically to every brand regardless of commission rate or affiliate relationship.

If a brand we currently feature receives a COA that fails our standards, we update the score and add a notation. If a brand's community sentiment deteriorates significantly, we investigate and update accordingly. We may remove brands entirely if they no longer meet minimum standards.

We believe the only way to build a resource that actually helps people is to earn trust through honesty — including honesty about how we make money.
